Job Description

Job Requirements:
Plan, direct and manage the central procurement activities, materials planning and control procurement, inventory management, storage, warehousing, logistics, transport and distribution
Develop, review and approve new or improved administrative, purchasing and clerical procedures to maintain economy and efficiency of operation.
Approve bid proposals and specifications and present recommendations on purchases requiring management. Lead, direct and control all supply and logistics policies, procedures and activities to maximize the efficiency, reliability, timeliness and cost effectiveness of the organization's supply chain.
Evaluate overall revisions, price and past performance of each contract and approve price increases. Maintain liaison with purchasing representatives of other departments to join in cooperative buying when this will result in savings
Interpret and make decisions in accordance with laws, ordinances, rules, regulations and policies governing the purchase and contracting of commodities and services for the City.
Usually requires university degree with 10-15 years of experience, Home Appliances / Engineering Industrial field is preferred.
