1. Communicate

When you start working in the ministry, it isn't only important that you can walk with three plates or a tray full of glasses of red wine. Working in the catering industry is the perfect exercise for people who are a bit shy. You can get rid of that in no time.

2. Multitasking

The catering industry is working hard. In fact, you want it to be busy. Not only does the time go faster, you also get more tips. You're busy taking orders, setting and removing tables, keeping guests happy and all with a smile on your face. You've to be able to switch quickly, remember a lot and remain hospitable. In that case you take a deep breath, remain nice and polite, try to solve the problem and satisfy everyone. You avoid discussions. Don't take everything personally.
