What Does a Photographer Do

As a photographer, your work consists of photographing people, landscapes, merchandise or other subjects. Usually with the help of digital cameras and sometimes also with analog cameras and equipment.

Depending on the chosen method, you'll develop the negatives yourself or use computer software to edit and print images. Many photographers are self-employed and work on different assignments or specialize in certain subjects.

Think of weddings, portraits, advertising photography, products, food, news and current events. Some photographers focus on subjects such as science and aerial photography.
