The teaching of ATV and motorcycle technology must develop students to acquire the knowledge of various ATVs and motorcycles, their various systems, components and extra equipment and their various areas of use.
The teaching shall give the students the chance to develop the ability to execute service and maintenance of such vehicles and their extra equipment. Furthermore, the teaching should lead to students developing the ability to utilize manuals and relevant information systems in work. The teaching must contribute to students developing the ability to work in a quality way based on laws and another regulations in area.
The teaching should give students the chance to develop a professional identity and a professional language plus the ability to communicate with both colleagues and customers. Students should also be given the chance to develop an understanding of importance of a responsible attitude towards the customer's property.
The teaching should also lead to students developing the ability to work with problem solving both independently and together with others. Furthermore, the teaching should lead to students developing the ability to document and quality insure the work and reflect on how the work process has impacted the result.
In teaching, students should be given the chance to work with tasks that reflect and prepare for situations that students will encounter in working life. These tasks should give students the chance to work with problem solving in laboratory forms.
